Solta vs Static.app
By João Saraiva
Static.app hosts small websites, with forms, analytics and custom domains on every paid plan, and can import a public Claude link.1, 2 Solta publishes what Claude and ChatGPT make, React files included, and the PDFs and folders around it, at a link you choose who can open.
The short answer
Side by side
| What is compared | Solta | Static.app |
|---|---|---|
| PriceAs of 13 October 2026 | Free. Pro is $12 a month or $108 a year, for one publisher. Team is $49 a month for 3 publishers, then $12 a month for each one after. | Billed yearly: Starter $5 a month ($60 a year), Medium $10 ($120), Large $15 ($180). Billed monthly: $6, $12 and $18 a month.1 |
| Free plan or trial | A free plan with no end date: public, unlisted and private sites, a password on 1 site at a time, the last 5 versions of each, 200 MB of storage, 30 days of analytics, and a small Solta badge on the site and on embeds. | No free plan. A 7-day trial with no card, for 1 website and 50 MB; after that the site needs a paid plan.1, 2 |
| A React file from Claude | Paste the .jsx or .tsx file Claude wrote and Solta compiles it when you publish, with Tailwind and shadcn/ui handled. No conversion to HTML first. | Its own page says React artifacts need an extra step: ask Claude for a self-contained HTML version with inline JavaScript instead of JSX components.2 |
| How you publish | Paste the file, or drop a folder, zip or PDF, at solta.now. No account to start: an unclaimed site stays up 24 hours, and claiming it keeps the same address. | Import from a public claude.ai or claude.site link, or upload a ZIP. A loose .html file is not accepted.2 |
| Publishing from a chat | Add Solta to Claude or ChatGPT as a custom connector. You sign in and press Allow, with no key to paste, then ask it to publish and the link comes back in the chat. | An MCP connector that sends an API key, on every plan and the trial. Its page says most people can't use it in claude.ai on the web yet, and that ChatGPT can't send a key to a connector.3 |
| Forms | Built in. A form posts to the site's own address and answers land in a table you can export as CSV: 1,000 a month on Pro, 10,000 on Team. Free collects none. | Forms on every paid plan.1 |
| Who opened it | Views and visitors by day, countries, devices, pages and referrers, with no cookie: 30 days back on Free, a year on Pro, all of it on Team. It counts visitors but doesn't say who they are. | Website analytics on every paid plan.1 |
| Versions | Each published version keeps its own permanent address, and the link shows a new version only when you publish it. Free keeps the last 5; Pro and Team keep every one. | Backups are an add-on at $5 a month for one slot, each covering one website with daily snapshots and the 365 most recent versions. Large includes 3 slots.1 |
| Your own domain | 1 on Pro, as many as you need on Team. | Free and custom domains on every paid plan.1 |
| Working as a team | Team is a shared library for 3 publishers or more, with a setting that lets in only the workspace. People who view or comment don't take a seat. | 1 team seat on Medium, 3 on Large.1 |
| Sizes and limits | Single files up to 2 MB; folders and zips up to 50 MB. 200 MB of storage on Free, 10 GB on Pro, 25 GB per publisher on Team. | 2, 7 or 30 websites, with 500 MB, 3 GB or 10 GB of storage, files up to 1 GB each, and unlimited traffic.1 |

Who each one is for
Static.app
For someone who wants a few static websites with forms, analytics and a domain, and whose files are HTML already.1, 2
Solta
For people who build in Claude or ChatGPT and share the result with a client, a team or anyone: React files as written, a link that shows a new version only when you publish it, and viewers who never pay.
How to move
- Go back to the file Claude made. If you turned a React file into HTML for Static.app, the original .jsx or .tsx works on Solta as it is.
- Paste it, or drop the folder, zip or PDF, at solta.now. No account is needed to try it: an unclaimed site stays up 24 hours, and claiming it keeps the address.
- If a form posts to another service, point it at /_solta/forms/ and a name of your choosing, at the site's own address. Answers are kept on Pro and Team.
- Keep the Static.app website until the new link is everywhere the old one was.
