- Is Solta really free?
- Yes, for sharing, with no time limit and no card. Sites are unlimited, and everyone you share with views, comments and approves free, on every plan. Free includes publishing from Claude or ChatGPT, installing a site as an app, saving each visitor's data across devices, visitors bringing their own AI, 30 days of views and the API. Free sites carry a small Solta badge. You pay for your own domain, no badge, passwords and invitations, forms, and a shared library. Fair use applies, and says what that means in numbers. Read it
- Do the people I share with need an account?
- No. Viewing and commenting are free and always will be. An invited viewer verifies their email once — no password, no sign-up. Only people who publish need a seat.
- What can Solta run?
- Solta hosts static sites: a single React or HTML file, or a folder of built output. Anything that needs a server at request time won't run — with three exceptions we host ourselves: form capture, the AI proxy, and analytics.
- What happens when I update a site?
- It becomes a new version, and nothing changes for anyone until you publish it. The URL you shared and every embed you placed keep serving the version that was live.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes, on Pro and Team. Point tools.yourcompany.com at Solta and your tools serve from there with a valid certificate, no Solta badge.
- Where does my data live?
- Compute and databases in Germany, storage under EU jurisdiction. Visits to solta.now's own pages are counted by DataFast, outside the EU, and only if you say yes; it never runs on the sites you publish. The full sub-processor list is public, and we give 30 days' notice before it changes.
