Solta

Reporting and complaints

Solta hosts tools other people publish. This site says how to tell us when one of them breaks the rules, what we do about it, and what to do if you think we got it wrong.

Telling us about a tool

Every tool has a Report button, on the Solta site and on the tool's own site. You do not need an account. You can also write to abuse@solta.now.

Tell us the link and what is wrong with it. If you leave an address we will confirm we have it, and write again when it is decided — whichever way it goes.

What we do

A person reads every report. We aim to decide within 24 hours, and faster for anything that looks like it is actively hurting someone.

When we restrict something, we say so and we say why — to the person who published it and to whoever reported it. That is not a courtesy; it is required, and we would want it anyway.

If you think we were wrong

Reply to the email we sent, or write to complaints@solta.now. A person who was not involved in the original decision will look again, and we will answer within seven days.

You can also take a dispute to an out-of-court dispute settlement body, or to a court. Using our complaints process first does not take that away from you.

We report child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and to INHOPE / Linha Internet Segura, and we scan for it automatically.

The rules themselves

What is and is not allowed is in the acceptable use policy. What we did over the last year is on the transparency report.
