Wedding website and RSVP template

What it is

An invitation page for a made-up wedding at a farmhouse outside Lisbon, about four months from today. It sets out the day hour by hour, how to get there by car or by shuttle, four places to stay, and answers to what guests ask about children, plus-ones, parking and what to wear. Guests can copy the address for a maps app and download the day as a calendar file. The RSVP asks who is coming, whether they bring a guest, a dinner for each of them, any dietary needs and a song request. The guest's own reply is kept in their browser, so they can come back and change it before the deadline.

Who it's for

Couples who want a simple wedding page with RSVPs, without a wedding website subscription or ads, and friends building one for them.

What you can change

You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:

  • “Replace Inês, Sam and Casa do Vale with our names, our venue and our date, June 14.”
  • “Change the dinners to beef, salmon and a vegan risotto.”
  • “Remove the plus-one question: every invitation names its guests.”
  • “Add a section with our gift list link and the hotel discount code.”
  • “Write the whole page in Portuguese as well as English, with a switch at the top.”

How to make it yours

  1. Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
  2. Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “In my Wedding RSVP, put in our names, our venue and our date, and change the dinners to beef, salmon and a vegan risotto.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
  3. Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.
  4. Turn the form on. This template posts each guest's name and email, whether they are coming, their guest, dinner choices, dietary needs, a song request and a message to /_solta/forms/rsvp. In the site's Site settings → Forms, switch that form on; until you do, nothing is kept. Collecting answers is on every plan (how forms work).

Questions

Where do the replies go?

The page posts each one to /_solta/forms/rsvp, at its own address. Turn that form on in Site settings → Forms and every reply lands in the Answers tab, and in your inbox if you ask for that. Until you do, a reply stays on the guest's device and the page tells them so. Collecting answers is on every plan.

What happens when a guest changes their reply?

They send it again from the same device, and the new answer arrives marked as replacing an earlier one, so the latest reply from each guest is the one to count.

Can I keep the page to invited guests?

Unlisted keeps it out of search on every plan; a password is on every plan, and inviting people by email is on Pro and Team.

Or start from what you already have

Paste the file your AI made, or publish it from the chat, and get a link of its own.
