What it is

A dinner plan for this week, Monday to Sunday, picked from a box of eight recipes written for the template, from a lemon chicken traybake to a red lentil dal. Choose a dinner for each night and how many it serves, and the shopping list adds up the ingredients, scales them to the servings and groups them by aisle: fruit and veg, meat and fish, dairy and eggs, and the cupboard. Tick items off as you shop, add anything else you need, and copy the list or print it on its own. Each recipe opens with its ingredients and steps. The plan, the ticks and the extra items are saved in the browser.

Who it's for

Households who plan the week's dinners on a Sunday and want the shopping list to write itself.

What you can change

You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:

  • “Replace the recipes with these six family favourites, with their ingredients.”
  • “Plan lunches as well as dinners.”
  • “Make every recipe vegetarian.”
  • “Show quantities in cups and ounces instead of grams.”

How to make it yours

  1. Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
  2. Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “Replace the recipes in my Meal planner with these six family favourites.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
  3. Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.

Questions

Where is the plan saved?

In the browser's storage on the device you use, under meal-planner:v1. Nothing is sent anywhere, so a phone and a laptop each keep their own plan. To shop from your phone, plan on your phone, or copy the list into a message.

Can I add my own recipes?

Not from the page. The recipe box is written into the template; give your AI your recipes and ask it to put them in, and publish.

Or start from what you already have

Paste the file your AI made, or publish it from the chat, and get a link of its own.
