What it is

A weekly pre-order page for a made-up farm, for the Saturday after this Thursday's 8pm cut-off. Nine products in five groups, from vegetable boxes to honey and cut flowers, each with a price, a quantity and, for some, a size; one is sold out and can't be added. The order on the side adds up as the customer goes. They choose to collect at the farm or the market, or to have it delivered, which checks the ZIP code against the delivery area, adds a fee below a free-delivery threshold and keeps a minimum. On sending, the customer gets an order number and a summary they can copy or print. The page takes no payment: it says the order is paid on collection or delivery. The basket is saved in the browser.

Who it's for

Small food businesses, makers and market traders who take orders by message today and want them in one list with the totals worked out.

What you can change

You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:

  • “Replace the farm with my bakery: celebration cakes in three sizes, cupcakes by the dozen and cookies.”
  • “Take orders for any day next week instead of one Saturday.”
  • “Change the delivery area to these ZIP codes and the fee to $8.”
  • “Add an allergy question to each order.”
  • “Show prices in pounds and use UK postcodes.”

How to make it yours

  1. Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
  2. Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “Replace the farm in my Order form with my bakery: celebration cakes in three sizes, cupcakes by the dozen and cookies.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
  3. Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.
  4. Turn the form on. This template posts the order number, the customer's name, email and phone, collection or delivery and where, each item with its quantity and price, the totals, substitutions and a note to /_solta/forms/order. In the site's Site settings → Forms, switch that form on; until you do, nothing is kept. Collecting answers is on every plan (how forms work).

Questions

Where do the orders go?

The page posts each one to /_solta/forms/order, at its own address. Turn that form on in Site settings → Forms and every order lands in the Answers tab, with a CSV button for your packing list. Until you do, an order stays on the customer's device and the page tells them so. Collecting answers is on every plan: Free keeps 100 answers a month for 30 days and emails you a daily digest; Pro and Team can email you each order as it comes.

Can customers pay on the page?

No. The page takes no payment and asks for no card details; forms on Free refuse card numbers in any case. It says the order is paid on collection or delivery. If you take payment by link, send it by email once the order is in.
