What it is
A quote from a made-up design studio to a veterinary group, edited on the page. Click any text to change it: both businesses, the quote number, the issue and expiry dates, the project, the notes and the payment terms. Each line has a quantity, a unit (hours, days or items), a unit price and its own discount, and lines can be moved, duplicated and removed. Below them come a discount on the whole quote, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and VAT you can switch off or set to any rate. Print gives a clean A4 page without the controls, Copy as text gives a version for an email, and New quote goes back to the sample with an undo.
Who it's for
Freelancers and small studios who quote for work and want something quicker than a spreadsheet and neater than an email.
What you can change
You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:
- “Put my business name, address and email in the From block by default.”
- “Show prices in euros and set VAT to 23%.”
- “Add a line under the total for a 50% deposit.”
- “Add my logo at the top of the printed page.”
- “Change the units to hours, days, words and pages.”
How to make it yours
- Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
- Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “In my Quote builder, put my business details in the From block and show prices in euros.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
- Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.
Questions
If I send the link, can my client change the prices?
They can type on the page, but what they type is saved only in their own browser; your copy and everyone else's stay as they were. For a quote nobody can change, have your AI set your figures as the page's own, or send the printed PDF.
Which currency does it use?
US dollars. Ask your AI to change the currency and how numbers are written.
