Project status report template

What it is

A weekly report from a made-up consultancy to its client about a CRM migration. It opens with the overall status in red, amber or green and a short summary, then the budget spent against plan and the schedule against plan. Six workstreams each have an owner, a status, progress and what changed, and you can filter them by status. Ten milestones sit on a timeline, risks are scored on a likelihood-by-impact grid you can click to filter, and there are the decisions already made, the ones needed from the client, next steps and contacts. A switcher shows the two previous weeks with their own figures. Every date is worked out from today, and the report copies as a text summary or prints.

Who it's for

Consultants, agencies and project managers who report to a client every week and want one link that always shows where things stand.

What you can change

You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:

  • “Replace Project Atlas with my project, a website rebuild for a hotel group, with five workstreams.”
  • “Here are this week's notes: write them in as this week and move last week's into the history.”
  • “Change the budget to €120,000 and show amounts in euros.”
  • “Remove the risk matrix and add a section for hours used this month.”

How to make it yours

  1. Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
  2. Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “Here are this week's notes. Write them into my Status report as this week and move last week's into the history.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
  3. Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.

Questions

How do I update it each week?

The figures are written into the page. Paste your notes into the chat and ask for this week's report; the connector saves it as a new version and you publish it at the same link, so the client's bookmark always shows the latest. Earlier versions stay in the site's history: the last 5 on Free, all of them on Pro and Team.

Can I keep it between me and the client?

Unlisted keeps it out of search on every plan; a password is on every plan, and inviting people by email is on Pro and Team.

Or start from what you already have

Paste the file your AI made, or publish it from the chat, and get a link of its own.
