Put a site on a home screen, in its own window
Turn on Install as an app in a site's settings and anyone who opens it can install it like any other app. There is nothing to build and nothing to add to the file.
How it works
- Turn on Install as an app in the site's settings.
- Visitors get an Install app button. Where the browser has its own install prompt, the button opens it; on an iPhone or iPad it says the one step to take.
- The installed app opens in its own window, named after the site's title.
- It keeps what people save on that device, and works offline with the last version it opened. Online, it always asks for the live version first.

Still behind its gate
A site behind a password, invitations or your workspace still asks at the door, installed or not. A Private site installs only on a device one of its people chose with Open on this device.
Your own button, if you want one
With the setting on, the page has window.solta.app, for a site that would rather offer installing in its own words.
