Free HTML hosting: put an HTML page online in seconds

By

Paste your HTML below, or drop a folder or a zip, and it is online at a link anyone can open, in seconds. No server to rent and no account to start; free for as long as you keep it.

Paste your HTML, or drop a folder or a zip

How to put an HTML page online

  1. Paste the HTML into the box above, under Paste code. For a page with images or other files, open Upload files and drop the folder, or a zip of it.
  2. Press the Solta button. The link comes back in a few seconds: copy it, send it, or open it.
  3. To keep it for longer than 24 hours, press Claim it on the same card and sign in. The address doesn't change.

What the free plan includes

  • As many sites as you like, with no end date and no card.
  • 200 MB of storage. Views and bandwidth are not charged for: a site serving more than 1 TB in a month gets an email from us first, and isn't switched off for being popular. Fair use.
  • Public, unlisted or private sites, and a password on 1 site at a time.
  • The last 5 versions of each site, and 30 days of analytics.
  • A small Solta badge on each site. Pro and Team have none. Pricing.

Put your page online

A single HTML file, or a folder or zip

One file can be pasted or chosen, up to 2 MB. A page that loads its own images, stylesheet or other pages is a folder: drop it, or a .zip, up to 50 MB unpacked, 500 files and 25 MB a file. Nothing in a folder is changed: the files you upload are the ones served, at the paths you gave them.

The index.html at the top is the page the link opens on. With none, the link opens on a list of what is inside, each name a link to its file. Markdown, text files, images and PDFs open as pages of their own.

HTML to website, React from AI chats included

A page from Claude or ChatGPT is often React, a .jsx or .tsx file, which shows a blank page on a host that serves files as they are. Paste it here as it is: Solta builds it into a page when you publish, with Tailwind and shadcn/ui handled. Why React has to be built first.

Or skip the copying: add Solta to Claude or ChatGPT and ask it to publish what it built. Publish from your AI chat.

Your own domain

Yes, on Pro and Team: 1 on Pro, as many as you need on Team. On Free, every site has its own address on solta.site. How your own domain works.

A password on the page

Password, on every plan, puts a real check in front of the site: nothing is sent until the password is right. Free has 1 password-protected site at a time, once your email is confirmed. For only the people you name, Invited is on Pro and Team. What a password on a page really protects.

How long a site without an account lasts

A site published without signing in is live straight away, and stays up for 24 hours. To keep it, press Claim it on the card you get after publishing and sign in: it moves into your library at the same address, so a link you already sent keeps working. The browser that published it remembers it too, and lists it under the box on New site with the time left.

What it can't run

Solta serves static sites: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the files beside them, all run in the visitor's browser. Nothing of yours runs on a server, so PHP and a database of your own won't work. And a file with an API key or a password written in it is refused rather than published, because anyone who opened the page could read it. What Solta can't run.

Questions

Is the HTML hosting really free?

Yes, with no end date and no card. Free has as many sites as you like, 200 MB of storage, and a small Solta badge on each site. Views and bandwidth are not charged for on any plan.

Do I need an account to host an HTML page?

Not to publish one. Without an account the site stays up for 24 hours; claim it by signing in, from the card you get after publishing, and it stays, at the same address.

How do I share my HTML page link?

Publish the HTML file and send the link it gets, by email, chat or a QR code. Whoever opens the link sees the page working, in their browser, with no file to download and no account to make.

Can I upload a folder or a zip?

Yes, up to 50 MB unpacked and 500 files, with each file up to 25 MB. The index.html at the top is the page the link opens on, and every other file is served at the path you gave it.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on Pro and Team: 1 on Pro, as many as you need on Team. On Free, every site has its own address on solta.site.

Can I put a password on it?

Yes, on every plan: Free has 1 password-protected site at a time, once your email is confirmed, and Pro and Team as many as you like. The password is checked before anything is sent, not by a script in the page.

Can I change the page and keep the same link?

Yes. Paste or upload the new version in Solta: it is saved as a draft, and the link shows it when you publish it. Free keeps the last 5 versions; Pro and Team keep every one.

Does PHP or a database work?

No. Solta serves files and runs no server code, such as PHP, for a site. A page that runs in the browser, its scripts included, works as it does on your computer.

Or publish it from the chat

Add Solta to Claude or ChatGPT once, then ask in any conversation to publish what it built. The link comes back in the chat.
