What it is

A savings goal tracker with three sample goals: an emergency fund, a trip and a new laptop. Each goal has a target, an optional date to reach it by and a list of deposits and withdrawals you type in, each with a date and a note. For the open goal the page shows what is saved and what is left, what you need to put aside a month and a week to reach the target on time, your pace (the average a month over the last three months) and the month that pace gets you there, with a chart of the balance over time, the target line and both paces drawn ahead. A label says whether you are on track or behind. Goals can be added, renamed, recolored and deleted, the currency switched, the summary copied as text and the page printed. Everything is saved in the browser.

Who it's for

Anyone saving toward something specific, a trip, a deposit or a cushion for emergencies, who wants to see how much a month it takes and whether they are keeping up.

What you can change

You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:

  • “Replace the goals with mine: a $20,000 house deposit by next December and a $1,500 vacation fund.”
  • “Show amounts in euros with no decimals.”
  • “Add a savings challenge: a grid of 52 weeks to tick off as I put money aside.”
  • “Add interest at 4% a year to the projection.”

How to make it yours

  1. Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
  2. Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “In my Savings tracker, replace the goals with a $20,000 house deposit by next December and a $1,500 vacation fund.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
  3. Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.

Questions

Does it connect to my bank?

No. You type in what you put aside, and the page does the sums. Nothing is sent anywhere: the goals and entries are saved in the browser's storage on your device, under savings-tracker:v1.

How is the date I reach my goal worked out?

From your pace: what you put in over the last 90 days, less anything you took out, as a monthly average. The page divides what is left by that pace. If you have added nothing lately, it says so instead of guessing.

Or start from what you already have

Paste the file your AI made, or publish it from the chat, and get a link of its own.
