What it is
A made-up autumn trip to Lisbon and Sintra for two, in three tabs. The itinerary has a card for each day with timed stops, notes and what is booked; stops and days can be added, renamed and removed. The packing list is grouped into documents, clothes and the rest, with a progress bar and what is still to pack. The budget sets planned costs against a total, marks what is booked, and splits it between the travellers. A countdown runs to departure, which starts three weeks after the first visit; after that the whole plan is saved in the browser. The trip details set the place, the dates, the number of travellers and the currency, and the plan copies as text or prints.
Who it's for
Anyone planning a holiday, a weekend away or a work trip who wants the days, the bag and the money in one page instead of three notes apps.
What you can change
You ask in plain words. These are the kind of changes people ask their AI for:
- “Make it a week in Japan for four of us, starting April 5, with prices in yen.”
- “Turn this list of bookings and ideas into the itinerary, one day at a time.”
- “Add a column for who is paying for each cost.”
- “Add a packing section for the baby: nappies, bottles and the travel cot.”
How to make it yours
- Remix it. A copy lands in your library as a site of your own, at its own link. If you have no account yet, you are asked to make one, and the copy is made when you come back.
- Change it in Claude or ChatGPT. Add the Solta connector once, then ask for the change in plain words, for example: “Make my Trip planner a week in Japan for four of us, starting April 5, with prices in yen.” It reads the site's code, makes the change and saves it as a draft. The link keeps showing the old version until you publish.
- Publish. Ask it to publish, or publish from the site in your library. The new version goes live at the same link, so nobody needs a new one.
Questions
Where is my plan saved?
In the browser's storage on the device you use, under trip-planner:v1. Nothing is sent anywhere, so whoever you send the link to starts from the sample. Copy the plan as text to share it, or ask your AI to write your trip into the page itself and publish it.
Can the people I travel with edit it too?
Each of them can, but in their own browser: their changes do not reach yours. For one plan everyone reads, write it into the page and publish a new version when it changes, at the same link.
